This idyllic back yard, once home to a high maintenance pool and lots of lawn to mow, is now an easy-going urban oasis for local birds, butterflies, and family pets! Due to seasonal flooding issues, we designed two rain gardens to contain ponding water during wet months. The owners opted for a no-mow lawn solution that elevates the natural feel of this garden while still providing a cool serenity in the heat of summer. A new deck and fire pit patio expand enjoyment of the garden to any time of year.
